My name is Kate Stone! I was born and raised in Ketchum, and am currently 23 years old living in Bellevue, Idaho with a passion towards caring for dogs. Because they deserve the best!Â
I have been in the animal care field for about 7 years: starting as a Veterinary Assistant locally at the Sun Valley Animal Center for a year and a half during college breaks, then I worked as a Kennel Attendant at a dog boarding/daycare facility in northern Washington for a year and a half, then I volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center for a few months during school, and lastly, I worked for a year at a large animal shelter in Bellevue, Washington as an Animal Care Associate. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Western Washington University. All of my experience has given me an immense pool of knowledge that I am excited to apply to each individual furry friend and their specific needs!
My goal is to relieve the stress everyone has from needing to leave their pets at home all day while they are at work. Whether they need just a quick potty break to lower the bodily stress that comes from being inside all day, or a long walk that helps keep them mentally stimulated and lets them get all their pent-up wiggles out, it all helps lower their overall stress. The reassurances that come from a photo of your happy dog outside and being cared for with a quick text sharing how they are doing, goes a long way in giving you some piece of mind!
